Centre Court Reflections

We missed our homeland on the Fourth of July, but were able to celebrate Independence Day at the U.S. Ambassador's residence (and still can’t believe Duran Duran were the night’s entertainment)!
We had dinner with a Count and dined in the dark while being served by the blind.
Each morning we contemplated race relations, privilege and the power of actions such as radical love and forgiveness, in authentic conversations led by our chairman, Doug Holladay.
At the Churchill War Rooms, a Churchill Impersonator expertly answered the questions we’d always wanted to ask Churchill.
We were moved and inspired at a lunch at The Clink where we were served by prisoners inside the high security Brixton Prison. And then only a few hours later we found ourselves at the Thames at Parliament, dining with Lords from both houses.
And, in one day, shared breakfast with a Wimbledon champion and PathNorth member, Stan Smith, and then at sport’s most sacred Centre Court, watched past winners Djokovic, Sharapova and Serena Williams compete for more titles.
Some did yoga; some enjoyed Mass at Westminster Abbey; some watched the World Cup at 2 a.m...EVERYONE shared their hearts and created lasting memories.
